The park also boarders Tanzania , connecting it to Tanzania’s Serengeti national park thereby making it one of Africans greatest national reserves, as well as creating one of the most incredible and spectacular bionetworks.

Famous for the abundance of lions, the Great Wildebeest Migration where over 1 million wildebeest and Zebras follow an annual migratory route from and to Serengeti to Maasai Mara and the Maasai people, well known for their distinctive custom and dress, it is without a doubt one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations.

The Masai mara reserve expands to 1510 sq km and raises from 1500 meters to 2170 m above sea level .Masai is one of the greatest African wildlife view point explaining why it receives a huge fractions of visitors through the year who from time to time visit to experience the splendor of Masai mara.

The park is well endowed with literally all the wildlife game one would want to see during an African safari, from big prides of lions, to large herds of elephants, extremely large herds of wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, baboons, hartebeests, hippos etc along several birds species.)

The Maasai Mara Ecosystem holds one of the highest lion densities in world and this is where over Two Million Wildebeest, Zebra and Thompsons Gazelle migrate annually. Its hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of birds. This is considered the 7th wonder of the new world.

The 3 days Masai Mara safari offers a short adventure to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. It entails exploration of one of the world’s top national game reserves. Carrying out activities such as game drives, mingling with the local Masai patrol tribes to get acquainted with their traditions. If time allows, you could also get have a bird’s eye view of Masai Mara in a hot air balloon ride spotting some of the most acentric views as you gaze below at wildlife scampering in the savanna.

Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara

At 07:30, we will pick you up at the hotel or the airport in Nairobi. We will drive to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley, heading to the game reserve’s camp/lodge. After lunch and some relaxation, we proceed for an afternoon game drive until the African sunset. Thereafter, we will return to camp for dinner.

After breakfast, we will have a full day game drive with packed lunch provided. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions, as well as its abundant resident wildlife. It’s one of the few places where it’s possible to see the Big Five during a morning’s game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiasts, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks 4 of bustard (including the kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.After the full-day game drive, return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

We will wake up at 6:00 am for a sunrise game drive. At 9:00 am, we’ll drive back to your accommodation for brunch then depart for Nairobi. Lunch will be en-route. You’ll arrive in Nairobi late in the afternoon.
